What is an infection? An infection is when somebody has another organism inside their body and it reproduces inside the body. You can get an infection if you eat rotten food or if you have a cut and your body let's in bacteria. there are different kinds of infections, there are bacteria, parasites, and viruses. some which can be deadly. signs of an infection can be high fever,malaise,headache, and rash. Infections can be spread through water,blood,food,or skin contact
How your body fights infections
Your immune system is your body's main defense system. It is made up of cells, tissues, and organs that work together to protect your body from infections and diseases. Your body makes around a billion cells everyday , If an infection enters the body, your body will try to get rid of it before it reproduces. your immune system is located close to the rib cage on the left side. when an infection enters the body your body releases white blood cells which attack the infection. the immune system then releases antibodies to kill the infection. certain infections can hide in cells, if that happens your body sends special cells that can recognize the infection hiding in cells. your body will also send an increase blood flow to where the infection entered the body.
Signs that you might have an infection
1.Unexplained weight loss- Losing weight without trying is a serious medical issue. if you are not obese and you lost more 10 percent consult a doctor. it could mean a serious infection.
2. constant high fever- a fever over 103 for more than three days straight, can mean urinary tract infection, or tuberculosis or another kind of infection .
3. confusion or personality changes-poor thinking skills,difficulty paying attention, or behavioral changes. this could mean an infection, poor nutrition, or mental health problem. if this happens consult a doctor.
Fighting Infections Naturally
Certain foods can help your body defend against microbes, which make you sick. some foods are Garlic, coconut oil, ginger ,lemons,and pineapple. there are also simple ways to prevent from getting infections, for example wash your hands for at least 15 seconds under warm water. you can also cover your mouth when you sneeze or you cough. and if you are sick don't come in to close contact with other people so they wont get sick.
